my friend,ashley, broke up wit her long time bf 3 days ago. my other friend, christy is gonna ask out ashley's ex on tuesday. now, my friend mary is saying christy should wait b4 asking him out but i think ashley chose 2 end it wit him, so christy shouldn't have to wait. what do u think?

Wait, wait, and wait. We men have a rebound time when a girl breaks up with us. If Christy comes along too soon, he's going to expect her to be exactly the same as Ashley. He'll put pressure on Christy to conform to an image in his mind (Ashley) that isn't Christy. Wait and let him reestablish his internal balance and digest what he's learned from losing Ashley. Then Christy can come along and be herself and know that if he is interested that it is Christy he likes, and not the image of Ashley that still lives in his mind. Depending on how close he and Ashley were, is how long Christy should wait. If he and Ashley were intimate, then Christy should wait for at least 6 months or she will find that she's nothing but a substitute for Ashley and will never establish herself as a uniqe person in his mind.

like omg, b4 christy asks ashley's ex out, find out WHY he is ashley's ex... maybe there is a reason ashley isn't with him anymore... if it was just so ashley could be wit someone else than christy shouldn't wait at all, if it was because he's an a**hole, perhaps christy shouldn't EVER ask him, if he broke it off with ashley because she's a slvt, then wait 5 days.

Ok well if she ended it with him then she shouldnt have to wait. But if they are really good friends with eachother, if they are then she should go and ask her what she would think. If she likes him that much then I think then just maybe she really needs to take a chance. She needs to live her life the way she wants to dont let ppl run her life. She needs to be happy with it. I mean I have not taken chances with my life and then it was to late and I regreat it so u need to take chances. I really regret it if I could I would go back and take the chance. Also if she gets hurt look at it this way its not getting hurt it is just making you stronger, and its a steping stone to help you fine that one right guy. So I really think she should take the chance and if ppl are mad at her for it then its there problem not hers and tell her not to let them get to her they will live and move on. She needs to be happy with her life. They are just jelouse of what she has and they wants it but cant have it. Dude, girlfriends do not date their bffe's ex's. It is like a world war 3 hoedown. Girls get into major fights and us guys just get dragged into drama cuz we are like little wusseys and try not to hurt any girls' feelings. So tell your friend to get another guy or she isn't a true friend at all. Real friends don't do those type of things, it is completely wrong in like soooo many ways.
