Actually, several of the answers on this page would screw your hair up even more!
What you should do is put a little more bleach just over the orange spots, and just try to get it all to an even yellow. Be carful not to put bleach over any yellow, blond or white spots, or you will overprocess your hair! -- if you do that, your hair will still eb all different colours, but the lighter parts will be extremely damaged.
Once you have all your hair to a pretty even yellow tone, Get a blonde dye with a violet pigment.
It's best not to use a box dye (eg, garnier, or anything you can buy at a drug store) at this point, becuase the peroxides in these box dyes are way too ahrsh for your hair, and will not cover up your mistakes, but will definately damage your hair.
You should use a professional formula of a #10 (aka the lightest level possible) and letter V (for violet tone). Do NOT use ash, as your hair will turn green.
If you don't know how to use professional formulas, your best bet would be to get to a hairstylist, and tell them what colour you started with, what you used on your hair, and what happened... they should be able to get you the colour you want.

DON'T WORRY!!!
I did the same thing!! I had to wear all black the next day and looked like a lamp post!! lol!
The best thing to do is not to put a colour over that's from the shops, it will be too harsh and if you'd like to lighten in the future, it won't lift.
If you can, get to a salon asap, or go to a hair and beauty wholesalers. Get a browny color, not too light not too dark and put it over. I found 5 mixed with 5/4 by wella is a good combination, as it also has some warmth to it and won't look false. Make sure it's perminant not semi or quazi colour.
Mix that with a weak peroxide- as you're not lifting the colour, it doesn't need the strength. 6%, again by wella is a good one.
Take half a tube 5 with 1/4 tube 5/4.
You need less of the 5/4 as it has some of the warmth in it, but you have some in your hair too, so don't need too much.
Mix that with te same amount of the cream peroxide and apply.
If you need more, mix a bit more.
DON'T LEAVE TOO LONG!!!
If you do, it might go more orangy again.
Leave about 30mins, check then if it needs a bit longer to take, check every 5 mins. Then remove, and apply conditioning treatment, as your hair will be quite poreous.
Main thing don't panick!!
I know its a lot to take in, but if you can't get to a salon, its worth it. Take each step slowly.

Well bleaching hair right from the start is not really the way to go about it, i am guessing from the fact that you said your hair turned out yellow that you tried to dye it blonde. I think that the only way to resolve this sort of issue would be to go and get in professionally dyed back to your original colour, this will stop you from having a yellow and orange head but will also stop the more embarrassing prospect of leaving the house with your hair it in current state. Best wishes with it. Rach xxx

you didn't leave the bleach on long enough. your hair goes through stages when you bleach it: it goes black-brown-orange-yellow-blonde-white. leave it on longer and it will fall out. if your hair is very dark, you should not bleach it yourself, but get a stylist to do it, who will time it and know when the colour is right to wash the bleach off. i would get this fixed by a stylist if i were you, and if planning to do your own hair next time, ask for her advice beforehand.

The red pigment is the hardest to bleach out. That is why it is orange. You should have left it in longer or you need to do it again. Be VERY careful though or you will fry your hair. Go to a good salon and have them fix it.

WOW! Bleaching your hair is almost never a good idea! Not to mention blonde hair is NOT for everyone. I think nursing your hair back to health will do it some good, and then use a Garnier Nutrisse permanent color....it's really moisturizing and works well with ALL hair types!

I have a few suggestions.
1. Get a color kit to cover up the bleached look.Of course you always run the risk of messing up again.
2. You could also just go to a salon and know that it is going to be done right.

My daughter had hers done at a salon and it went orange even. We changed salons and they told her not to put anything permanent on, her hair would break but to use a toner and most important use shampoo for GREY hair...works a treat, takes the brassiness out. Try it honestly and good luck. If you are anything like my daughter you will not even want to go out of your front door.

the orange sections didnt lift properly so there must have been a build up of colour on those sections, try re-applying it there. regardless of what youve heard bleaching hair does NOT make it do blonde it just strips the colour.

tone it down with olive oil....
1-leave hair dry.. and i mean DRY otherwise this will not work...
2-warm up some olive oil rub into hair and leave in WARM towel for 30 mins
3- take off towel and rub in a load of shampoo (this is so the oil will wash out).. rub shampoo in well and leave for 5 mins
4 - rinse off with HOT water.. the HOTTEST you can stand
5 shampoo again and dry as normal
this wont get rid of the colour but it should tone down its effects and leave hair in great condition!... ive tried it and i does work.. BUT REMEMBER DONT WET HAIR FIRST my mate did and it took over a week to get the oil out!
and dont bleach it again for a week or so as some bleaches will dry your hair out so much it will snap.. i know ive been there.. not nice!!
