if what you mean is the book, 'Starships of the Gods', i believe that yes, it is possible that, perhaps in the past, we may have been visited by other intelligences that made have had some sort of impact on our development. perhaps one day, when we dare to leave earth and sail into the black of the stars we may encounter other species and they may be less developed than us. if what you mean are UFOs, there are no real answers to those questions. there may be creatures visiting us and observing our planet, curious to see what a less developed culture would be like, because, to them, yes, we would be just that, a species that had not yet risen that high on the ladder of development. they may show themselves to us sometimes to see what our reactions are, out of interest to record what we do when they do so, or to those who claim to have been taken by alien kidnappers, perhaps they do study us to see what we are like. of course, to us, they would be like gods. their superior technology might make us hold them in awe. as i said though, we may never know.
