Ingredients:
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 clove crushed garlic
4 Tablespoons Butter
1/2 lbs. Shrimp (in shell)
1-2 Tablespoons Tuong OT Sriragna(Hot Chili Sauce)*
2 Tablespoons White Wine
Cooking Instructions:
Sprinkle salt on bottom of preheated fry pan. Add butter and sauté garlic on "medium high" heat. When garlic is slightly brown, add shrimp and stir fry until almost cooked (nearly red). Add chili sauce evenly. Add white wine. Toss briskly until wine evaporates or shrimp is cooked. DO NOT OVERCOOK. Should be cooked in 1/2 lb batch in large fry pan to avoid boiling shrimp

The dryer the better I suggest White Bordeaux, or Chardonnay.

hi sheena!

u can cook with just about any white wine... from chardonnay to sauvignon blanc. it sounds like u don't drink wine, so get a bottle of cooking sherry to keep on hand - it will last a long time and is very versatile.

in the meantime, if you have a Trader Joe's nearby - that's a great place to buy quality inexpensive wines. Charles Shaw chardonnay is $1.99 at my local TJ's; I've cooked with it and had good results!

also, for a spicy shrimp recipe that does not require wine please check out my "Perfect Shrimp" video on iTunes - it's FREE!

This may sound non-gourmet, but pick up a four pack of those little Gallo bottles of chardonnay. They're slightly bigger than an airline bottle. That way you only have to open one, and keep the rest for the next recipe!

I would buy a bottle of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. I would also drink the same wine with the meal. It should be a good pair based on the ingredients in your recipe.

first of all never buy a cooking wine, always buy a wine that you would drink. In a lot of liquor stores they have little bottles of wine, a good white wine is Pinot Grigio..hope the dish comes out well

Just two tablespoons?? That is all? Are you sure? That is a tiny amount, even for just making a sauce. What is the recipe?
