I want a TV that has a DVD player but I can't buy dishnetwork, directv, or stuff like that. If I buy this TV could I just plug it in, put an antenna on top of it and get channels like channel 4, 8, 11, 13, 21, etc.? Or will it only work if I buy a program?

Here is the TV/DVD Player:

Here is the antenna:

Does the TV already come with an antenna or do I need to buy one? And do I even need an antenna.

I will choose best answer TODAY!

also, which is a better buy? this tv/dvd player and antenna or a nintendo ds?

The links didn't work. :-(

Most tvs, especially a lower end walmart one will usually come with an antenna. If in doubt, a sales associate should be able to help you out.

You will be able to get some channels with your antenna, but it all depends on your location as to which. IF you are in the city, you will probably get a bunch of normally aired broadcast channels. If you live in the country, you may only get a few, or maybe none.

I own a Nintendo DS, and they are really fun...but it's up to you which is more important - portable gaming, or television viewing.

Your links do not work. Yes, you can buy a TV and still use a standard TV antenna to get local stations. You don't have to subscribe to cable or satellite service. Everyone chooses to get cable or satellite service to get better reception, more stations, HD stations and digital quality.

Some TV's come with antennas, but usually you have to buy your own. If you look at the marketing specs or the box, you will see whether it comes with it or not.
