I mean, not just about heaven and hell, but they changed the view of heaven and hell to something else. It wouldn't be any different than Dante, Milton or Bishop (Bishop used the ideas of heaven and hell and changed them around and formed an entirely different world where darkness was good). But if it conflicted with your religious views would you automatically give it a thumbs down, especially if it made mention of Lucifer and he wasn't chained up in the bowels of hell?

Or would you be understanding enough to read the story without critizising it for taking religious ideas and changing them around to make an interesting story. Especially when it's stated that the story is not about the author's personal religion, but about writing a story that requires more work (and usually more courage) than a normal story from a fantasy world the writer could easily make up inside their own head.

Roger Zelazny wrote a great novel called To Reign in Hell. Its still on my bookshelf.

I don't throw any books away, even the ones I disagree with.

I would read the story before dissing it. I would want to see his/her point of view. It wouldn't change what I believed or anything. And actually the devil isn't chained to hell. He's in all sorts of forms. He tempts you in all different ways, such as in porn, drugs, sex, violence and other things that are wrong. I would respect the author, but that doesn't mean I believe in the things that he writes about.

The Lord bound Lucifer, to material buildings in the vicinity of the earth (different spots on earth).
Revelation 20. Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and set him up, and set a seal on him.
I can see heaven and hell in the Bible, and understand dark sentences of the Lord, so I don't need to look at another book to give me the picture, its pretty clear to me.

The Christians did not through away the play written by Joseph Flavors Piso about the crucifixion. Instead they placed it in the bible, taught it to us as a true story and left it their so more plays about can be re-in-acted in the future. No wonder why the 1st movie about it was called "The Greatest Story Ever Told".

If i was reading it i would probobly have no problem cause i know the truth. but i would not however let an unsaved person read it, or somebody seeking faith. i wouldn't want to decive anyone from hearing the truth.
