OK, I've thought about it. So where did the supreme being come from?

If the supreme being is eternal and/or self-creating, why can't mindless matter similarly be eternal and/or self-creating?

In any case, why do you think (aside from the stories told you as a child and continuing self-delusion) that the supreme being would in any way care about you and your life, or would want and need to be praised and worshipped?

What if that supreme being is really Brahma, or Zeus, or Zoroaster, or the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

Thats an ignorant argument... we have no idea and no right to claim we know if everything even has a beginning or end... Life as we know it does but who is to say that the universe is not infinite and never had a starting point?? And by your logic there could not be a creator unless something else (another creator) started the action and so on and so forth until it makes absolutely no sense... like looking into an infinity mirror. By that logic there is also no beginning and no end... since every successive creator had to have its own starting point all the way back into infinity... that would mean that there isnt just one god but quatrillions of them all around just so they could create another creator who could in turn create earth... it makes no sense. It actually supports the fact that there need not be any "catalyst".

1) Science is based on obeservation and logic, not reaction.

2) Mechanism is not a quantum idea.

3) information and energy at the primary level of nature does not imply anything about a being with a personality at that level. Even catholic saints (for instance, Aquinas) have admitted that God is unecessary to explain anything.

Science is based on observation not on "reaction". You need to study up more on your quantum mechanics, it is much different then Newtonian physics. Which by the way, is what you are talking about "every action has an equal and opposite reaction." The standard laws of physics do not apply at the quantum level.

Aristotle introduced the idea of the "unmoved mover". There is no way to know if this was a concious entity (God) or just happenstance that set the universe in motion. We do not even know if there is anything outside the universe. You are spouting empty words that make no sense in theology, philosophy or science.

Questions like that are beyond the current knowledge of science. What do you suggest we do? Invent a first cause and label it God? That wouldn't be science.

no it's every action has a reaction i.e. you put a pot of watter in a fire the water heats and then boils and steam is created

and no your wrong if you look at it like that the who made god unless god created him self which makes no since
