Wood floors can be installed almost anywhere . The only places where we do not recommend wood flooring is in wet areas of the bath and kitchen.

If they are real wood floors, first floor and above are okay. If you are looking to install sub-grade (i.e. the basement), you wood be better off utlilzing laminate flooring due to moisture and climate issues. Don't rule out engineering wood floors either, as they may lend more durable that regular wood floors.

in the living room, never the kitchen cuz if anything spills its bad and you need to take special care of the wood.
