My sister thinks I should hire her interior designer when I relocate to her city, but I want to do my own decorating.

decorate it yourself. your home is one personal thing, why use other's ideas?

By all means, do it yourself. But to keep peace with your sister, you could check with her interior designer to see if they are available to help you out with answers to any problems you might have. It won't hurt to just talk to them to help keep your sister happy but remember, its your home, you decorate it to suit you.
