Job was a righeous man but suffered immensly. The devil had said to God that if Job was to suffer, he would denounce God. Instead, Job held to his faith, and was greatly rewarded. It is the devil, but God allows it to test your faith. Hold strong, and your reward will come!

"It rains on the just and the unjust". Most of the time bad things just happen because that is part of life. However, sometimes when you get very close to God it does seem that for a short time after that bad things happen and this could be attacks of the evil one. Just hang in there and know that "all will be well, and all manner of things will be well". He is just trying to scare you away from God. Ignore him and after awhile he will give up and go pester someone else. Know and keep it in your mind that your God is greater than the evil one. I have a friend who when bad things happen say "Praise Jesus", which means that nothing can take her away from him. She will not curse Him when things go wrong, that is what the evil ones is trying to get you to do.

Remeber, we have an enemyw ho DOES NOT want God's will to be done... remeber this verse...1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
AND
Ephesians 6:11-13 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Karma, my friend. It sometimes takes a while to catch up with you.
Keep on the path of doing good and work hard; things will change.
God just loves you; He's not into punishing and rewarding. His subordinates are in charge of that---
As the old Santa Claus song said "Be good for goodness' sake"
All will work out in the end.
"As ye' sow, so shall ye' reap"

Our "reward," for lack of a better word, is not in this world.
Despite what some "Christian" denominations teach, God is not our personal accountant, here to help us get rich and prosper.
How many rich, successful people do you see who do not lead a "good" life?
God tested Job, yes. But Job came out the other end a better person, closer to God. THAT is the point of this life.
Pray every day; it is the best tool we have to become closer to God. Speak to your priest or pastor about your problem. He will be better equipped to help you than us. And try, in moments of strife, saying "Lord have mercy" or "Lord Jesus Christ Son of God be merciful to me the sinner."
Don't know why I got a thumbs down, but I still have one more thing to say: Put all of your trust in God that he will take care of you. And pray to know his will.

Really, how can one tell the difference between this "God" and "the devil"? They seem to do the same things.
