To carmelize a steak, you are not actually using any sugar. All you have to do is heat a pan up until it is really hot, and then add your steak. After a short time the steak will become a dark brown color, then flip it over and brown the other side. If it is a thick steak you may need to put it in a 350* oven for a few minutes. If it is thin you might just be able to cook it all the way on the stove. Hope this helps..

Carmelizing involves melting sugar down into a liquid.
I've never heard of carmelizing steak, but logic would suggest to grill a steak in the carmelized sugar
or carmelize the sugar and glaze the steak with it for oven cooking.
