I don't have an answer, I am just so sorry for you, her, and the rest of your family. If you have a Hospice Volunteer Program in your area, you might want to call them, they can help you with just about anything. They should also have a Nurse who can make regular visits. You will be in my heart.

I'm sorry for what you must be going through, but i will be honest. I have never heard of anyone surviving blood cancer, it just spreads to quickly because it's in the blood. I'm glad that she stopped taking the chemo, if it's not helping then it's shortening her life.
Encourage her to stay positive, death may sound scary but we all go through it at some point, it can't be that bad.
She should eat as healthy as possible and try to do a little exercise as much as she can. Walking for just an hour or so a day is good. Lots of acidic foods too. The same stuff that they tell you will keep you from getting cancer it is the same stuff that will help her live longer. She should eat lots of tomatoes, blueberries, strawberries, and citrus. Tell her to avoid eating too much protein, a person only needs 50g a day, more then 100g is not good.
Don't treat her like she's going to die and enjoy every minute you have with her because you never know what could happen, you could step off the curb tomorrow and get hit by a car. It's all about attitude, and I hope with all my heart that your sister will beat it because somebody has to be the first.

I have only heard of one case of someone healing from fatal cancer. Actually it was on TV, a story about spontaneous cures. I can't remember all the details(like what kind of cancer the women had), but what I do remember is that the weekend, before she was to have surgery, she decided to stay home alone, and fast, but drank lots of juice &water, she asked all friends not to call, so that she could spend all her time, meditating & praying, she also asked her friends to pray for her during this weekend, well on the day of surgery, she requisted another exray, before they operated, and the doctor was confused because all the tumors were gone. I am not a religious person, and I have no idea if praying really works, and I would not want to give you any false hopes, but I found the story facinating, I guess if I was in your sister's place I would try anything that might help. I wish you and your sister the best.

Patty, honey, I am so sorry. I am a 30+ year cancer survivor! Back then my chances were 20%- 80%. I chose the 80% as my chance to survive (I didn't quite get it then). You don't say how old she is. The one thing I know for sure is ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING! Don't accept death as an option and certainly don't treat her like she's dying. She's gotta wanna fight. You, she and the rest of your family need to send up some mighty prayers. Get her on every prayer list and chain available. There is awesome power in prayer. If not total healing (but expect it and speak it) at least peace and understanding.
Put her 1st name up so I can add her to my prayers. You're already added. I discovered my dis-ease was harder on those that loved me than it was on me. The support system never gets a day off or a "clean bill of health"-
Truly- go back to God. He doesn't create the problem, He does hold your hand though.
I don't know how this YA thing works, but if you can E-mail me I will pray with and for you. Yes, I am a Jesus Freak. I wasn't then- because I was so young. Now, I know my strength comes from Him. He's still working miracles in my life and sharing them keeps them coming. Love you. God bless.

The cancer must be very advanced if she is getting tumors, without chemo the cancer just takes over and there is little to be done. I dont know of any other treatment but at this stage trying a natural or alternative thearpy if you find one couldnt hurt. Be with your family as much as you can.

I'm so sorry about your sister. Lots of people have been able to survive cancer. Remember, doctors aren't always right about length of life. Miracles happen every day.
