My mother still treats me like a little kid and I can't stand it. She says I'm not aloud to date until I'm 30. I just told her that I'm going to be married before I'm 30 so I certainly have to start dating before then. How can I convince my mom that I'm not that helpless 5 year old anymore and that I'm a mature teenager?

If you are trying to make your mom understand anything your saying it won't work. She has her values and she is trying to force them on you..The best way to let your mom know she is wrong on somthings is show her that your a mature young lady furst by being careful of how you speak to her.Parents somtimes just don't understand. that's what my students use to tell me.I am a retired Special Ed teacher and beleive me young lady it's not easy being 15.Oh you will always be your parents baby even when you 90(smile)understand that they are not being mean it's just that they want what is best for you that's all.Give them the benifit of the doubt ok.Hey time will come when your parents will ease up.Always carry yourself as a mature young lady that you are.Beleive me they will ease up.

You need to get your mom alone and when she is in a good mood. you need to explain to her that you are a growing individual. Some parents have a problem with letting go. They are always gonna be overprotective over you and always worry about you but you need to let her realize that soon you'll be an adult. basically keep your mom's trust don't go behind her back and do anything that will lose that trust cuz once you lose that trust you lose it all. but just sit your mom and talk to her like an adult. parents always want to hear what you got to say even if you don't think so half the time but they do.

There are many people who love to be in your shoes because you're getting all the attention. You will always be that little girl in her eyes because you're her darling. Why she reacts this way could be insecurity. So go and tell her that you'll take care of her even if you're married. Tell her that the husband to be have to except her first before you will agree to marry him. Hopefully this will help ease the tension.

well you could start by telling her why you want to date if it's purely for sex than it's not worthit but if it's because you want someone close to you to make you feel better than it should be ok but keep in mind also most boys don't mature when you do so be carefull about the kind of relationship and weither they really want to be with you or they just want to get into your pants.

tell her kindly that you will eventually date someone and when that happens you would like her support and blessing. tell her that when you plan to start going out you will tell her to whom and where you are going to be. i think that she is just trying to protect you, maybe if you talk to her about it you both will come to an agreement. i hope all goes well.
