Mercenaries are men who are paid to provide a service.
British troops are not being paid by the US (if that's what they're implying). They're assisting the "Coalition of the Willing" in ridding the world of terrorist organizations, they're doing a fine job, and they're not really getting anything in return except the satisfaction.
The French are deceitful morons. The more they make these hateful, senseless comments, the more the American people are going to think that they're not worthy or grateful of rescue. When the Algerian Muslims overrun Paris and topple the government, we might just let them.
Then lets see what the French think of Muslim extremism.

Hmmm The French are pointing fingers.
Ok. Who sent their own troops into Algeria and then left them to die on the vine? Who sent their own tropps into Mexico and then left them to die on the vine? Who has lost every war since Napolean? Who during WW2 turned over Thousands of Jews. Downed Airmen and Allied Soldiers to the Nazis? Who time and again has backed out of Treaty Obligations? Who deals weapons and weapons Tech. to anyone that has the cash?
Answer the French.
NO the UK forces are NOT mercenaries. THEY are attempting to help fix a situation that has gone horribly wrong. THEY are keeping their word to a treaty partner. THEY are supporting their views on freedom and liberty.
Weither you agreee with them or not. The Brits are doing what they said they would.

The UK and the US troops are mercenaries in the sense that they are doing the bidding of big business.The French have done this too. Keeping other people down in the interest of our economies, not theirs.

the french are in no position to point fingers at the british military are they?
Who bailed them out in WW2?
Who dropped supplies to their resistance?
who gave them SOE people to train their resistance and assist them?
The French should never forget Britons fought and died for the freedom of France.
And isn't mercenary from the root of a French word anyway?

No, they are not mercenaries, they are dumbs, because they don't realize that the politicians and their associates the oil companies are using them, for protection in their corruption and stealing oil from Iraq.
