JVC is not a well known name in television but they they do make good DLP tvs. If you're looking at other types of tv like LCD or Plasma, i would suggest buying a different brand.

JVC are well-known for home theater equipment, but they have yet to prove to the industry that they can do TV's. I would not recommend a JVC TV. Stick to the big dogs: LG, Philips, Panasonic, Sony, Zenith, Pioneer.

Small players are JVC, RCA, Hitachi, Polaroid, Sylvania, Akai.

I would consider Samsung and Mitsubishi in-between.

My three year old jvc 20 crt type sucks, first power supply fails then, colors all get green, IFinaly Gave it to Goodwill.
