There are always crumbs in my butter, but I never have jam in my house - even if I did, the jam would go onto my toast without butter, cos it would be too much together. I understand your point, though - & it doesn't look good when guests come round!!!

I couldn't agree more. Its just bad etiquette and ignorant to do that. I do it, just like you. If I have lots of people staying over and I am serving breakfast, I put the conserve/preserve into a special pot with the appropriate serving spoon and several knives for the butter. It's so annoying to find your favourite conserve, jam call it what you like with butter or bits in it. Lets enjoy our food now!!! xxxx

Ewww! Omg definite I hate this! and that i continually attempt to remind ppl that it really causes mold because its go-an infection. It has not something to do with blood or something cuz the nutrition obviously isn't raw however it rly does reason mold and/or for the peanut better to flow undesirable. Takes a lengthy time period for the total jar to flow undesirable, with the aid of the indisputable fact that's peanut butter - however the section round it isn't solid anymore. <

Yes...I totally agree with you!!! I do the same thing and put a knife in each one so people don't get butter in the jelly and visa versa!!! If they do I say something!!!

Yes, and the other way round - I mean jam on the butter.
I use separate knives and thought I was being eccentric, glad to see I'm not the only one.

I know how you feel. My wife does the same thing. When I want butter for my noodles, jam ends up in there too.
