Don't bother windows media player is overrated and really isn't that good, I would recommend an open source player such as VLC, BS Player or my favorite WinAmp. If you are desperate you could try downloading windows media player 10 or 11 (download 10, 11 is still full of bugs) from a site like Softpedia if you want to get it from a different source just Google windows media player 10 download, you should get a couple hits.

Check your recycling bin to see if that's where it is. If it's not there, you can download LimeWire Basic and be able to get more music to download, and if you do music videos it will automatically ask you if you want to install Media Player.
