I like to color my hair blonde from my brown but whenever I do my thin hair gets brittle and breaks off?

What I'm wondering is if anyone knows of a haircolor that is gentle and yet works to lighten and not turn my hair red

sounds like you are over processing your hair leave it alone for a while and deep condtion it 3 times a week useing your conditioner on for 10-15 mins under heat..Then i would say in a couple months/ then i would suggesst finding a color that has a green base color this green base color will take away the red from the hair....Hair color such as a ash brown
