How much do painters charge you to paint the inside of the house? a house with 7 rooms plus living room, large gameroom, kitchen, laundry room, 3 restrooms? thats how big my house is and its pretty big. So how much do you think they'll charge? then maybe what you think the average would be for average houses? i think they make decent money.

$2.50 to 3.00 a square foot, that includes ceilings, walls all trim and doors as well as paint. It's harder than you think to make a good living at painting, it's alright to paint by yourself for friends but how long will that last? when you get into working with contractors you need to hire workers, pay comp, taxes etc. alot of people wont let you in there house unless your business has insurance. It sounds so easy to just paint for money but it's alot more involved than you think.
Any way if your going to paint your friends house avoid giving "friendly prices" you'll end up screwing yourself over everytime, if they want quality they'll have to pay for it.

My cousin makes 20 dollars an hour. Most paint company's charge 200 to 300 hundred dolars for a bathroom, more for larger rooms. That is why I paint my own house inside.
