Most reputable hairdressers will trim your fringe between cuts free of charge.
I would say absolutely no no no to cutting your own fringe - you won't be able to blend it in with the rest of your hair or get it perfectly straight. Even hairdressers have to train hard to get good a cutting fringes.
If you have a hairdresser that you go to - pop in when it's no so busy and ask for a fringe trim. Otherwise I'd advise ringing around your local salons and ask them if they do a fringe trim for free/cheap.

I have cut my own fringe regularly, but lived to regret it each time. Always ended up having to get the hairdresser put it right. I too at times just want my fringe cut, so they usually charge me £5 instead of the full £13 for a trim.

Most hairdressers will cut a fringe for nothing or just a token payment of a pound or two...it is worth it if you don't have a steady hand - you might cut your fringe and it end up wrong and with no fringe at all....then you would need to wear something to cover it up till it grows again.

Oh, nicely it may go both way (good/undesirable...) I actual have finished it. suitable suggestion, commence sluggish! in simple terms reduce a wee bit off, then a wee bit extra etc. do not leap in with too a lot gusto or you should finally end up with little a million/2 inch bits that stick right now out, or a mullet or bangs that go previous your ears or something... once you've lengthy hair without fringe, then per chance visit a real hairdresser to get them the first time, then person-friendly sufficient to in effortless words trim them any further.

i cut my own fringe n ive never cut it too short, the only advice i can give is use a comb to streighten it out but hold your fringe between your fingers, make sure your scissors are sharp, only cut off a little at a time n dont do it when your hair is wet because your hair stretchs when wet n will look shorter when it dries

DO NOT cut your own hair!!! That is a no no!! My friend couldnt be bothered to go to the hairdresser to get her hair trimmed so she did it herself and it looked like a wonky donkey hillbilly line. SHe did her sisters as well and that didnt turn out right either! Go to the hairdressers is the best thing that you could do.

dont cut your own fringe! as easy as it looks, its really easy to screw up and not angle it right. many salons actually give complimentary fringe trims, such as Toni and Guy Salon. you dont have to pay for fringe trims or neck cleanups at all, and you leave with professionally cut bangs that look really good and frame your face perfectly.
trust me, ive cut my own fringe on multiple occasions and each time was a disaster. lets just say i havent done that in a few years and never will again!!!

If you go to a regular hairdresser, mention to them that you find it grows fast and would they be happy to just trim it for you in between. If not then just watch thier technique carefully and try and replicate this - it cannot go too wrong. Don't do it if it is a straight line you are trying to achieve though!
