Why can’t we worship God without fighting over how

English and Arabic are two separate languages. One would be foolish to assume that we would use the same name for God. We say Allah, you say Lord. Both are God, the one and only God. We may worship in different ways, and in our own languages, but why must we fight over which is the correct way? We should worship God and stop fighting over how we do so.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In the name of God, the most Merciful, the most Compassionate

most people worship God the way they want to. Have we ever tried worshipping Him the way He wants us to?

This is really at least three entangled questions, all of which people disagree (endlessly) over: 1) Does God exist? 2) How does he want to be worshipped? 3) When if ever, should someone fight over their beliefs? ---------> Rather than worry about what other people believe, and why other peolple do what they do, consider starting here: Think about what makes us human beings (and perhaps also, paradoxically, divine beings). Here, in my opinion, is the question that cuts to the core: Is there a way to live without any regrets? To be in this world, but not of this world? Is there a way NOT to carry all the burdens, grudges, negativity, vengeance, suffering, and dead belief systems around with you everywhere you go? In the end, you cannot control others (and in my opinion it is misery to try), and you cannot control outcomes (and if you could life might begin to get just a little too predictable). So... Is there a way for an individual to live without any regrets? It seems to me to be the question that comes before all questions. It may lead to God, it may not, but either way the value of the question stands. Who do you really admire in the world? Is it the people who repeat the old mantras, the party line, the dusty texts, the same old boring rhetoric? Or could it be the people who live free and grant freedom, who live life like a work of art in progress, creating it as they go, out of some combination of inner joy, bottomless soul, and uncontainable spark? Does anyone need a Ph.D. to tell the difference? So, my response is, live and let live as much as is reasonably possible, and don't worry about trying to convince others of your version of God, or criticize others on a different path. Just be the example that you think would heal and liberate the world.

That is so wonderful to hear this. This is why we all need to Respect other peoples way of believing in the one true God. We can not invade and poke our way of worship down other peoples throats. Respect for one another. You are so accurate . There are two separate languages in our case and and why can't we, understand that those boundries need full kindness and respect ? We are all one, but taught in different ways. Good question and Thank you.

A lot of this is political and economic. The crusades were about getting to the rich lands to the east. The current fighting between Palestinians and Israelis is about land.

People are being used by the rich and powerful. religion is just a motivating factor.

Because JESUS said......

(John 4:22-to-24) Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
(Joh 4:23) But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
(Joh 4:24) God is a Spirit: = = and they that worship him = = must worship him = = in spirit = = and in truth.

The god that the Islamics worship IS NOT the God of the Bible!

Jehovah GOD is the GOD of Abraham the Father of Issac and Ishmael from whom the Arabs come from!

Why did they LEAVE THE GOD OF ABRAHAM for a False god called "Allah??

Thanks, RR

You state "Both are God, the one and only God. " this is impossible !
I as a christian worship the son of my God (Yaweh) who is Jesus who you claim was just a prophet and not god incarnate
whilst your God according to the quoran has no son stherfore for them to be one and the same is impossible !also my god is a God who loves and tells us to love not kill
(Matt.5:43-48
43 "You have heard that it was said, `Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'
44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get?

whilst in contrast your god tells you

“When you meet the unbelievers, strike off their heads; then when you have made wide slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives.” (Quran47.4).

"And when the sacred months are passed, kill those who join other gods with God [i.e. moshrekin.] wherever ye shall find them; and seize them, besiege them, and lay wait for them with every kind of ambush: but if they shall convert, and observe prayer, and pay the obligatory alms, then let them go their way, for God is Gracious, Merciful."(Quran 9:5)

Psalms 83:18 "That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah,You alone are the Most High over all the earth."

there is only ONE true God, but many false Gods that Satan is using to lead people away from the truth, and obviously it is working, since there are so many other "gods" out there!
