I can agree on the fact that neither side can be absolutely conclusively proven. As for atheism, my "side", you can't prove a negative. Of course just as much as I can't prove god doesn't exist I also can't prove that a pink dingo doesn't exist in the trunk of my car at this very moment. Although... I have it on good authority that it's very very very very very very very unlikely that either one exists.

I agree that there is no proof for either side, as to the existence of any god. However, as to the claims made by a particular religion, there is direct proof that life evolved, in ways completely incompatible with the story told by the Bible.

I do not agree that the lack of disproof of a god makes it 50/50 chance in either direction. For example, do you think there is a 50/50 chance Santa Clause exists? Or do you think it's highly unlikely, even though you cannot prove it?

You can prove some things such as the earth revolves around the sun. This was denied by religious people for many years who claimed that the earth was the centre of the universe.

This would be fine with me. But here in America, some Christians seem to think they are being persecuted when they are denied the ability to persecute others.

I think that many Christians would insist that there is proof of God's existence.

Your statement shows that you don't know the issues or the argument. Try learning about logical argument instead of displaying your ignorance in public.

How do I know there is no proof? Can you prove that? Avoid logical paradoxes, dear apprentice.
