Personally this liberal prefers neither.

I dislike Christianity because it so engulfs the being of a person that they let it take the wheel when making political and legislative decisions. Those decisions based on personal religious doctrine and morality effect my life. They effect the way I have to live and the decisions I'm permitted (and not permitted) to legally make. This country in which I live is NOT in the business of legislating based solely on morality (this is according to Justice Sandra Day O'Connor) and yet that's exactly what happens when Christians can't (and won't) separate their spirituality from matters of secular law.

Scientology, on the other hand, is a manipulative, dangerous, greedy cult. It doesn't have the numbers or national influence of Christianity but it certainly does it's fair share of damage. Consider the following atrocities and crimes of which Scientology is guilty:

• Operation Snow White – Under this program, Scientology operatives committed infiltration, wiretapping, and theft of documents in government offices. This program constituted the single largest infiltration of the United States government in history. Among the 11 prominent Scientologists convicted of this conspiracy was Mary Sue Hubbard, the wife of Scientology’s “prophet”.

• Operation Freakout - Their campaign of sabotage and violence against Paulette Cooper, the writer who published her research and findings on several cults, including Scientology. Scientology’s official plan: to frame Paulette, ruin her career and reputation and get her sent either to jail or psychiatric confinement.

• Fair Game - the Scientology policy detailing how the organization may confront and handle critics and perceived enemies. Here is a direct quote: "Enemies may be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologist. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed.”

• Violent Kidnapping - Lisa McPherson was a Scientologist, was involved in a car accident and resultantly became mentally unstable, was kidnapped by agents of Scientology, held against her will, refused proper psychiatric treatment and was allowed to STARVE TO DEATH.

• Jeremy Perkins - A CBS “48 Hours” special on the mentally disturbed son of Scientologist parents who refused to put him on the anti-psychotic drugs that would have stabilized him & prevented him from killing his own mother.

I am both a liberal and an atheist, but I greatly prefer Christianity to Scientology. Actually, Christianity in itself is a pretty cool religion; it is unfortunate that some of its followers reflect poorly on it.

Well in the United States, a majority of the public voted Democratic during the last election, which is the liberal party. The country is 80% Christian, so I guess that means that a lot of Christians are liberals.

enable's take a seem at this from both standpoints, in case you'll. Scientology believes that there are more suitable terrestrials in the universe. Many clinical activities teach that this would in truth be the case. so a ways because the inhabiting people is worried, i do no longer have the reply for you on that one. Who is customary with if it truly is genuine? it may well be loopy yet there are crazier issues in this international which have exceeded off (possessions from ghosts were shown genuine, why is this different). Christianity: The density in the useless sea, which occurs to be noticeably on the fringe of the position the biblical memories take position, is so large that that's more suitable than achieveable for someone to really walk on water. that is not any longer loopy in any respect, in truth, it truly is reasonably clinical and there is an explination for it that is logical. Now, he did not make the bread or the wine from his body. He picked up the bread and reported, "Take, devour, it is my body (symbolism) it truly is damaged for you. do this in REMEMBERANCE of me" "Take, Drink, it is my blood (SYMBOLOLISM!) it truly is shed for you. do this in REMEMBERANCE of me". Neither are truly his body or his blood, they are an emblem of what Christ did for his people. Crazier issues have exceeded off then a divine delivery. we do not recognize each and each of the solutions to that, there is the position faith is presented in to play. so a ways because the resurection is worried, I advise....Come on......it truly is achieveable. Very achieveable for a body to bypass into marvel and for one to presume yet another useless and then for the guy to pop out of a coma some days later. i'm no longer discounting the actual incontrovertible truth that it truly is divine, i'm only saying that in case you're going to play that pastime....it truly is achieveable. both way, neither look loopy to me. both have logical explinations and both were shown scinentifically greatest in a unmarried way or yet another. thanks for giving me some thing to imagine about immediately!

What makes you think that "liberals" as a group prefer the same thing? That sounds a little small-minded to me.

Do conservatives prefer pedophilia or rape?

Judging by the number of Repugnant party members - oops, Republican - who go to "bohemian grove" and on the child sex jaunts to the Dominican Republic (like Rush Limbaugh did), and Mark Foley on top of them - oops, that - it's no surprise the reich wingers prefer pedophilia.

By using the word,"liberal", to label people, I'd bet you that you're a Christian. Am I wrong?
