As people are saying it is only 250.00 dollars, but I would urge you to think about circumcising. I had to convince my bf that circumcission is not necessary. When we watched some informational videos on it, he decided, like me, that it was not neccessary. Did you know that no medial association in America recomends it and it is very painful to the child. There are many myths about circumcision. Also, think about it. The baby is born with this, this is a part of his body, put there for a reason.

Please see these videos.

Ultimatly the decision is yours and you may have your reasons, such as you feel your child will be made fun of, but Please look at at least one of these videos so you can make an educated dicision. I would not want you to hurt your son for no reason.

Please read this and tell me afterwards what you think the cost will be:

This is what some doctor would do -- he'd tie your son on a table specifically made just for this disgusting purpose called a "circumstraint" so that he's immobilized and cannot even try to defend himself, while he has no choice or ability to in the first place. The skin of the foreskin is actually attached by connective tissue to the glans of his penis, so to remove it, the doctor would have to probe under it between the glans and foreskin to tear it away from the glans, causing severe pain and rawness, and some bleeding, and thereafter crush a line along the top of his foreskin with something like needlenose pliers. This will obviously be painful as it is actually crushing (sexual) nerves and blood vessels, and then the doctor would cut along that line with surgical scissors and fold the split foreskin back to expose the raw bleeding glans. He'd then place a clamp, also specifically designed for just this disgusting purpose called a Gompco clamp over the glans, and roll the foreskin back up over it, and screw down the clamp which forms a ring around the bell which would press down through the foreskin in a ring, crushing through all the sexual nerves, large arteries, and veins, in the skin. This clamp would be left there for several minutes for the blood vessels to somewhat clot and constrict to reduce bleeding when it's released. The crushed foreskin is cut off in a ring around the bell, and the bell is released to reveal the results, a bloody, raw, sore penis which will be desensitized and the sexual function of which will be reduced for the rest of his life.

I hope you read this and will not be able to bear the thought of inflicting that on a beautiful innocent gentle child who needs love, not mutilation and pain.

I believe it would cost your conscience, and his later sexual confidence, emotional self-confidence, choice to have his penis the way God made it, and it is also stealing from his future wife the option to have her husband have a whole penis the way she should have. It reduces sensitivity and weakens sexual pleasure for both him and her. Other than that, a couple dollars.

I hope and pray you will spare your son this horrific action that steals his choice to have his body the way it should be, and that God will bless you for saving him the pain and suffering.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!
Just let it be the way it's supposed to be, and teach him how to care for it and clean it properly daily, and there will be no health concerns from it. Women have to wash their genitals regularly to keep the internal folds and enclosed areas clean and healthy, and do so without complaint or wishing someone had cut parts of their genitals off, please know men are capable of doing this too, and he will be thankful that his penis is the way it's optimally designed. If he decides he'd rather be circumcised, he can have this done to himself by his own choice when he's eighteen.

Alot of insurance company's will not cover it because it is not deemed medically necessary it is deemed "cosmetic". When my newborn son was circumcised it cost of 160- dollars. With your son being 2 he'd have to undergo sedation and here is the thing it would hurt him like HELL! I talked about this with my son's Dr who told me he had a mother wait until her son was almost 3 to have his done and the child freaked out when ever he was touched after wards to check the site for healing, infections. Not to mention the pain he'd have until it healed just urinating or having water touch it for bathing

There is no medical reason that a male needs to be circumcised. It hurts the child/infant.

I don't know how much it costs; you should ask your doctor. And to all the rude comments above; please answer questions - don't slam people (e.g. there are times when circumcision is medically required).

As you know most insurance will not cover this surgery. I didn't have my son circumsized at birth either and know it is going to cost a lot of money to have it done. When I called, they told me that I would have to wait until my son was a least 1.5 years old. Then they told me it would cost about $300.00 for the doctors visit and about $2000.00 for the surgery.

The cost is all over the place. But, why do it? It is just mutilating a child. Leave it alone and teach the kid to wash properly.
