I'm 15 and I'm not overweight, but I want to get more muscular, so I've started working out more and I'm thinking of getting into weight lifting. But I want to know if it's true that I will stop growing if I lift weights?

15 is actually a perfect time to start working out, you probably have more testosterone in you now than you ever will. I started working out around that time and easily put on 20 pounds of muscle in a few months. After that initial surge though it gets much harder.

it could not stunt your progression...different than your lifting too much with mistaken way. once you're 6-3 at 14, i does not worry approximately stunting your progression. rather you will desire to not be weight education until finally 8th grade or the summer season merely before top college considering the undeniable fact that actual little ones do not look built sufficient to get any form of actually progression from it. as quickly as your in top college opt for it. do exactly not do too much. Alot of human beings have faith the extra time I spend interior the gym the greater advantageous I gets...it is genuinely not genuine. in case you over-paintings your self you continually tear the muscle and not in any respect grant it conceivable to regrow stronger. regularly you prefer to paintings in some way that works all of the muscle communities for a undeniable company, grant it an afternoon of entertainment; at a similar time as working diverse muscle communities day after today. regularly Biceps and returned on faster or later, Chest and tricepts on day after today, and Legs/Shoulders day after today....there is countless groupings and the thank you to do it. Its properly to alter between top weight and espresso reps, and espresso weight and top reps as sturdy. you will desire to choose speedy intense and tough; even although particularly you do not would desire to velocity from now on than an hour to an hour-and-section weight education interior the gym an afternoon. Anymore is often overkill and does better injury than properly.

No it's not true...It is an urban myth stemming from the fact that smaller people in general are attracted to the sport of weightlifting, because it is easier for them to get stronger faster. Without giving you a lesson in biomechanics or physiology, Go to a few on-line journal indexes like PubMed, Sport Discus, Sport Search, and Sport Database, and use keywords: height, children, weightlifting.

hey there,
lol this is the best advice i can give you because of my teen years exercising, studying phys ed, health, etc.
first off everyone needs excercise, fat or not fat people, muscular or not. being healthy does not mean body building, nor does skinny equal healthy. before anything, you must eat well. now as per exercise, talk to a trainer at your gym and he/she will give you a programme for YOUR body type. and yes, doing weights now will stunt growth if u have not fully grown yet, and since u are 15, you have a long way to go so please do not over do it. talk to a trainer. cardio is the best for now, do it every day for 1 hour. drink a lot. eat well. manage stress. these things help to llive a life of wellness.
