Absolutely. Both ways.

I've dated some absolute knockouts, a couple of which could have been on the cover of a magazine. But, after a short while, when it became obvious that they were dumber than a box of hammers, or were so self-involved that they couldn't see beyond their cute little noses, they quickly became much less attractive to me and I lost interest.

On the other hand, I've been friends with and dated women with only average looks, all sizes and shapes, but who were kind, caring, self-confident, smart, and funny who got more beautiful with each passing day. These are the "keepers" and quality guys know it.

I'd rather be with Ugly Betty than Brittney Spears....ANY time.

The Infatuation or "in lust" period usually lasts about 6 weeks then the real them starts to sift into the picture.. or sometimes one or both become infatuated with someone else...

HENCE

Why people "date"..

After about 6 weeks you should know if this person should be in your life on a permanent basis or not... Why it is also a good idea for birth control or just keep little dynamite Dickie in his cage.

Well, hope this opened up an entire world of knowledge about relationships you never thought about before.... teehee.

GOOD LUCK KIDDO

Thankfully no...even those situations that didn't work out, weren't because the guy turned out to be totally different than he'd first appeared to be...but I've heard stories, it does happen...guess I've just been lucky so far...

I did meet one guy online (never in person) whom I learned over time was NOTHING like he presented himself to be on the net...I talked to a couple of women who met him in person, and he was the pathological liar type that ya hear stories about...virtually nothing he'd told anyone was true...

Always. We we like someone, we refuse to see or accept that they have any flaws. There is no way that they can do wrong in our eyes.

The reality it that we need to prepare ourselves for anything when walking into something new. We are more likely going to be let down than be pleasantly surprised.

Everybody tends to put their selves up on a pedistool when first met, i.e. I'm just as good as the next person.

The old expression, wait until they put their hair down, then you will no longer want to be around them.
