how would you feel if you got a place with your girl and she waited til the last minute to tell you that she's moving back home with her parents and cause she knows you and her isn't going to work if you and her lived together? don't you think that is some major bs?

Moving in with someone is a lot of work and responsibility. If you're sharing an apartment, who's going to pay the utilities, who's going to pay the security deposit, what if you guys do break up and then what about that six month to year long lease you just signed? Don't forget that money is involved and while love may conquer all, money just makes things harder. Not to mention the emotional and space struggles that occur when you live with another person who isn't among your family unit.
While waiting until the last minute to tell you was a jerk move on her part no doubt, I think it was at least decent of her to speak up and be honest. You have no idea how much trouble, wasted money and wasted time she just saved the both of you. And maybe, if she was wrong (about living together), it's always better safe than sorry. Perhaps at a later time, it'll become clearer to her.

That does s*ck. She should've been honest with you in the first place if she didn't want to live with you. I'm guessing if you signed the lease that you'll have to pay for the place for a little while. Maybe get a roommate to help pay the bills.
Tell your girlfriend that she should be more honest with you. And be understanding about it. Maybe she thinks that your relationship is moving too fast.

I think she is an extremely smart young woman. You'd better hold on to her and don't let her get away. Not every day that you meet a girl that will not shack up. She has morals and they are rare. Women like her make good mothers and wives.

Yeah she shouldn't have stuck you with that, cause if you already signed the lease now you are stuck with the whole payment or the trouble of finding a roommate.
