No! The Navy is not sending their personnel over to be Marines. The Marine Corps. The Marine Corps only wants the best. That is why it has higher standards than the other armed forces, why they do not promise high bonuses. You can be stationed with the Marines side which is called the Green side (green cause of the uniform the Marines where). And of all the military the Marine Corps is doing the best to fill the recruiting quotas.

This is not happening. The only sailors that are posted to Marine positions are corpsmen (medics). That is because the Marine Corps does not have medics.
It is amazing to me at how little the general population knows about the military. The Marine Corps is not having trouble hitting their recruiting goals so they would have no reason to steal from the Navy.

Do you mean the Navy is getting them to come into the Navy office, and then the Navy is sending them to the marine office? I have seen that before. Sometime, the persons ASVAB score wont qualify them to get the particular job they want in the Navy, but under Marine guidelines they do qualify.
If they are being switched at the MEPS station, then that is a different story.
I do believe though, that when a person swears in, they don't swear in to a particular branch. Their gurantees are in written contracts, but basically, what the government promises and what they do is two different things. If the switch is going on, its news to me.

No, it is not. Some naval jobs work closely with the Marine Corps, but you sign a contract when you enlist. If your contract says you join the Navy, then you join the Navy.

The marines are under the Dept. of the Navy, so it doesn't sound like much of a stretch. I don't know if it's actually happening though.
