I want to get a dog, but we go on our boat alot for the whole day and i would like a dog we could bring with us.

How big is the boat? It's depend on the size of the boat. If it's a fishing boat then I suggest getting a small-medium one.
But if it's bigger boat then the size of the dog won't matter.
Click that link, if the boat is smaller then that. Then I don't suggest getting a big dog. Also before taking the dog on the boat try taking it to a small pool or lake first an see if it can swim. Make sure it has a life jacket when its on the boat!

Like the people on your boat, just be sure your dog, ANY dog, is wearing a life vest and it should be alright.
However, the smaller breeds may not do well if the water is cold, so stick with a medium to large breed just in case. Remember, even large breeds need a life jacket.

Get a Golden Retriever. They're wonderful dogs; intelligent, loyal, easy to train, they love people and they are water dogs! They love to swim and they're always ready to go in the car or in the boat.

Any type of retriever, spaniel, or other water dog. A dog that will not be afraid of the water if he/she falls in, but be careful going fast so stuff does not hit your dog in the eye and also make sure they don't get sunburnt. And get your dog a life jacket!

I live on a river, an see ALL kinds of dogs on boats and rafting. However, they all need lifejackets.
