I got my naval pierced but the hole closed. Can I get it done again and if I do will it *definately* keep closing? I got my ears pierced as a kid and they kept closing so I kept getting them done and the third time they stayed open for good. They're not gonna close again. Is it the same with navals or will it always close???

I didn't leave it out for too long, that's not why it closed. I actually woke up one morning and it was beside me in the bed.

My friend had the same problem like you.. She pierced her navel three time but the hole kept closing all the time.. The result was that she has a scar above her navel...Try to keep the jewellery on like we do for our ears... your navel logically will get used to the jewellery and will stay open..

After time healing, it should be fine. I had to get mine repierced after surgery and that was through a scar. It was still partially open after 3 months. Meaning the scar had healed over the top hole. I can go months without one in anymore, and I've had mine for 10 years now.

Just take care of it as like a first piercing, and try to leave jewelry in as long as you can.

Personally I feel stomach button jewelry are extra lovely. I have one and I didnt feel it was once painful. My sister has each and he or she stated her nostril harm the worst out of all her piercings, she has gotten her rook, nostril, and stomach button. Complications can occur with both you simply ought to watch out to not get an contamination. They each will scar however the nostril could be visible extra. My sister has slightly preserve in her nostril (it's closed) however you'll be able to see wherein it was once. It isnt rather noticable however nonetheless there. And stomach buttons jewelry go away a circle scar which isnt the prettiest. I wish this is helping making a decision.

It will keep closing no matter how many times you have it done. Just leave it in. Like the other girl said about the scar tissue, eventually you wont be able to pierce it at all if you keep doing it. : ) Good luck!

Do you wait the specified (6-8 weeks) before removing your new piercings? Yes, you can always have them redone. Do you clean it without taking it out? Q-tip, alcohol, spin the ring and all that? I also used triple antibacterial ointment w/ q-tip to keep it sliding and ensure that I did not get an infection. (I knew a girl who had a b/b ring that got infected, and OH, MAN!, was it NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!).

well all holes will always close if you keep the jewejlry out for long periods of time. you should wait till your navel is fully healed (well over a year) before leaving out hte jewelry for a few days...they will always close...

If you do it repeatedly in the same spot, it is less likely to close each subsequent time. It's like picking a scab: each time you do it, it takes longer to heal.

As long as you keep something in them for a while then you will not have to worry
