i would doubt it. in reality i dont believe there is that "one" person out there for every one. lets face it what is the likelyhood of finding "the one" out of how many billion people on the pllanet in your local area? that would be a billions to one chance so highly unlikely.
i do believe there are different "ones" for different periods of your life. likewise for those who find someone who compliments there life till death do they part.. they are very lucky

I had a love at 21 that broke my heart , I thought I would never have that again. 7 years later I met my husband ( well he wasn't then but you know what I mean) I loved him dearly but it was never quite the same. 15 years later I was attracted to a man that I couldn't get out of my mind even though I only saw him every once in a while .8 years after that ( after a growing friendship ) we had an affair. He is the one that I'm sure I will love most in my life. The reason I am so sure is that he has figured in my thoughts for over 10 years, 8 of which we were not 'together'. we are not together now, circumstances keep us apart but I think of him constantly and I am convinced that we will be together one day. We will grow old together.

I have several, but the one that goes first is always me.
I know that sounds selfish, but if I don't love myself, how can I expect others to love me too?

The one you love the most is usually yourself.
