1. Exercise. Start with taking a walk with her every day.
2. Eating healthier. Eliminate the high calorie items from her daily intake. Limit daily calories to 2000, then after a few weeks reduce calories to 1750 a day, then down to 1500. If you are the parent it's your responsibility to buy groceries that are healthier for her to eat and to cook good tasting alternatives to fatty or fried foods.
3. Eliminate or drastically reduce soda -- it's wasted calories and even diet soda creates the desire to eat more.
4. Have her start a journal about what she eats and her feelings when she eats. Frequently we eat because of our feelings. If she can see the pattern it will help her. Then give her an alternative to eating when she's sad, worried, depressed or whatever.
5. If she needs an incentive to lose weight, try some sort of reinforcer. Such as for each pound she loses, $5 goes into a savings for buying new clothes when she's lost a predetermined amount.
6. Don't pressure her or make her feel bad about her weight, that just makes things worse.

To lose wieght you have to do more than just exercise and diet... its bigge than that.. but at the same time its much easier.. you see you have to change your life and your lifestyle!!! If you feel you have to lose weight that means you may not be as healty as you want to be.. or should be. You have to realize the healthier you are tthe better you feel the more attractive you are to others becuase you are somethingto look up to. You have to change your minds set and realize that this is a process that if you follow will take time to show results.
You need to:
1. Change your mind believe that you are healthier than others...i mean really believe that you can live a health life, and in the begginging make it a point to have others think of you not as the fat one but the health freak
2. make sure every day you do some form of exersise.. anything even walking as long as you dont fool yourself and walk for 15 min and then go eat a big mac
3. diet... when i say diet i do not mean starve.. but from now on and forever.. say no to fast foods.. say yes to fresh foods and vegetables.. you can eat desserts but not every day.. remeber you should be known amaoung your frinds for being a picky eater..
4. and lastly remeber this is low impact but it is drastic becuase you are changing your life.. dont be know for being fat and dont go to food and lazyness when the **** hits the fan... you have to realize if you take this to heart it may take a year but your body will one day catch up to your mind set.. remeber you have to change the way you think and behave not force yourself to conform to diets and exercise.. you have to become a fitness and health advocate
5. Its where you are heading not were you are at.. remeber this do not waiver and feel like you are not where you want to be as long as you are moving in the right direction. !!

Make that teenager get friends. Active friends. Start cooking with lots LOTS.. Unlimited amounts of grean leaf veggies and little added fats and as little carbs as possible. (If you cook it, they've to eat it.). That's it. No normal teen is fat. Try taking him or her to a psychologist to see what's going on in his/her life because it's not normal and usually a sign of either depression, isolation or even worse maybe a medical problem. It sounds a little harsh, and expensive, but you'd spend that money on stupid diets, seminars, camps and books anyway. GET TO THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM and that will ultimately make you and your family happier.

well the best way is to eat fruits vegtables well mainly healthy also to do exercise each day for an hour atleast .......and to jog around the block to speed matlabiusm or however you spell it lol well yea how ur succesful

when you are younger you have a very fast motabalism so the bet way to lose weight to exersise
but if you really wanna lose it quick and get better results follow a good diet

lot of sports and activity, junk free diet, lots of water and diet havey on fruits vegetables and lentils, beans,brown rice etc.

get him or her to play sports...which is excerise ofcourse but fun if he or she likes sports...it worked for me but i didnt nessecerally had fun
