what were the positive and negative things of the roman catholic church and the eastern orthodox church?

Positive- Every Christian religion gives love, faith and strenght to their religioners.
There are many organizations like Caritas that helps people.
The both churches work on making peace and do not exploit religioners, but they accept donations.
Negative- Splitting up on east and west caused many wars and many people were killed.
Celibate blocks nature things like sex needs (there is no celibate in Orthodox church)

I only can answer to the Roman Catholic as I do not know about the Eastern Orthodox.
Positive for Catholic is:
The order in mass- I like order because in my own personal life there is only chaos, I need quiet order.
I like the prayers. I loved going to OCIA-RCIA. I loved getting Baptized.
Negative for Catholic:
They only care about you when you give lots of $$$
you are a NOBODY if you cannot donate what they want you too- it even gets down to they want to KNOW your income so they can tell you how much to give!
I no longer go to Catholic church, nor any church, I believe God knows my heart.

The RCC has changed its doctrine over the years. EO has remained pretty true to apostolic teaching.
Another answerer was partially right when he/she said EO priests marry. They don't have to marry, obviously. But bishops are elected from the unmarried or widowed priests. Monks are also celibate in EO.
I know the RCC has had a lot of indiscretions over the years, but I do not know of any EO ones (though there have to be some -- the church is made up of people, right?)
Oh -- what about the recent scandal in Poland where priests were found to be working with the Russian communist occupiers (a dirty word in Poland)? Were any of them EO?

I belong to the eastern orthodox church : our priests are allowed to marry, for example. they don't have to, but they very well can. we never had inquisition, for example...
that's all I can think of right now...
