Chocolate, cheese are the most famous dishes from my country, and you will already have guessed that I am Swiss.
A local speciality for the city of Lucerne is a special pastry with meat, raisins and a creamy sauce. There is one special event every year when nothing but this is served, and that event took place only yesterday.

Whitstable - oysters! But having tried 'em I wasn't at all impressed.

Kent generally - fruit orchards. Brogdale near Faversham, just up the road from me, is home to the National Fruit Collection; masses of varieties of fruit, including some real oldies and rarities.

Here in San Joaquin County, California we have lots of asparagus. Every year we have an asparagus festival where we have asparagus prepared every way you can imagine. Have you tried asparagus ice cream?
