I was 12 when I started plucking my eyebrows. Your mom probably won't mind. Have them professionally waxed, then you can keep them up by just plucking them after. Good luck.

Well. Talk to your mother about it. I wanted to pluck mine but didn't know how to ask, so played clueless. I said "I have a unibrow, I think. How do I get rid of it?" and she was like "Well, Pluck 'em kiddo!" so I asked her where the tweezers were and plucked 'em the next day. Just pluck away a unibrow if you have one and then shape your eyebrows up a little. Be very careful. Plucking does hurt! Wash your face and the tweezers first! If it hurts rub ice on your eyebrows to numb them. I heard that threading hurts, but hey, so does plucking! Waxing is a lot quicker, but not too much fun. I hope this helps you!

I would suggest that you go to a nail place that does brow waxing - then you can pluck it yourself as it starts to grow back. Make sure that they give you a nice shape that's not too thin or unnatural - in fact, make sure you tell them you want it to enhance your eyes but not be the focal point.
About your mom: good luck with that, you know her better than anyone here. Buy some tweezers in the beauty section of the supermarket for $5 and a good mirror. But don't attempt to pluck them until you have someone professional do it.

Just tell your mom you want to pluck them. No big deal.
Don't take off too much, because the first time, it'll look unnatural. Just a bit at the end, and a thin strip at the bottom would be your best bet.
You could always get them waxed. At least you won't stop half-way since someone else is doing it!

first off no you arent too young
second off the best method is threading. i have mastered the art of threading myself so i no longer need a professional but it would help to get it proffesionally done the first time. make sure you get it threaded though and NOT WAXED. it will take a long time to convince you mom though--hehe been there done that.
and trust me i was about the same age too so no prob.
and also go to an indian salon to thread it--not being racist its just that they leave your brows more natural looking and threading was invented in the middle east so there you go. and yeah it hurts but you can deal with the pain for those gorgeous blue eyes. make sure you tell them not to make them too thin though. if you have a shape in mind you may want to take a picture.
after that you can tweeze them yourself. only pluck the hair that grows back and you'll know because it will be short spiky and stubby. and just maintain the shape. overtweezing is always a problem so make sre you MAINTAIN the shape and tweeze only the hair that grows back. im too lazy to thread my own eyebrows so i usually tweeze them myself. and the results are great. it looks natural and its easy and quick. just MAKE sure you DONT wax them. waxing is for your arms and legs. it doesnt look right on eyebrows as they need more detail and think about it ive heard of people getting hurt waxing their brows because the area is delicate and the skin can easily come off if not done the right way. i have seen waxed eyebrows and can always tell that they've been waxed. threading is much safer for you skin as it only requires a piece of twisted string moving across skin pulling off the hair. it also hurts less than waxing because it moves closer to the surface of your skin so you dont feel it pulling as much. you know your hair is a part of your skin so thats why it hurts when it comes out. its really amazing how a piece of string can pull the hair out of its follicle.
just tell you mom nicely and sincerely and suck up for a while. convince her you wont change your personality and blah blah blah. we're all good with the emotional stuff. doing your brows actually gives dimension to your face. your face feels cleaner and it will accentuate you eyes in a way you ould never have imagined. you know your eyes are what people look at when they are talking to you and your brows show expression meaning they frame your eyes. so eyebrows are more important than people may realize!!
best of luck with that!!

my cousin started plucking when she was 12.
I think that's young, but I started when I was 14.
I just pluck the bottom of my eyebrows, they look totally natural, and pluck after you shower. It hurts less

okay. well first of all you should get them waxed or something. mine were the same way. you can go to a nail salon because they usually have people that do that there. Also places such as biglots and walmart have tabs that you put onyour eyebrows and you pluck around them so that they give you a nice natural shape.

I always have them done professionally...
I almost never pluck my eyebrows alone.
They turn out so nice ;)
& Just tell your mom you want to take 'more care' of yourself. If you're too young, she might not accept the idea

pluck what u dont need, hairs at the far ends of both and ones that are to far underneath and above. just ask ur mom, and explain why u want it, she'll probally understand, after all i bet she plucks her eyebrows too. ask her to show u. ur eyebrows should go no further than the tear ducts of ur eyes, and the ends of ur eyes.
