If the hair loss is sudden and patchy, then get checked by a doctor. There could be an underlying disease or infection. If it's gradual, such as seeing lots of hair on the pillow when you wake up or the shower drain, then it is probably male or female pattern baldness. Male pattern baldness is genetics and there's not much you can do to stop it, but there's plenty of things you can do to slow it down.

Probably Male Pattern Baldness has begun. I developed this at the young age of 18--it happens if your Maternal Father and maternal grandfather are also bald. There is no way to know for sure, without your seeing a physician and letting him decide. Good Luck
