I have been usin GHD's for the past year every day. My hair is really damaged so I have decided to stop using them as I know that otherwise I will start losing my hair! Can anyone recommend any special shampoos or anything which can help keep hair straight without irons?

Well I think you should go to the professionals and ask them if there is a straightening shampoo. Or you can get a straight perm.

You could try getting a straightening brush and use that while blow drying your hair.
(if you dont know what a straightening brush is search it on google)

Hope that help. x

its all in the blow dry, and products you use. also have you tryed using big rollers to get more movement at roots. if you like your hair straight there is a double backed comb you can buy this will help to get hair straght. other than that if you have it done in a salon and they no what they are doing your blow dry can last up to 5 days. so there are a few things you can do go and speaker to your stylist, as i am doing now they can show you tips on best way to maintain hair. l

garnier fructise sleek and shine works really well. and thermasilk, and dove makes hair really smooth.

let your hair air dry for aboue 5 to 10 minutes, and then starting from nape of the neck, blowdry on low while pressing the mouth of the dryer on a barrel brush to help straighten. if you dont mind a little heat. but w/e you do, try not to go to sleep with wet hair

Use a straigtening shampoo, and a wide paddle brush. Also when blowdrying hair position it so that the nozzle faces downward.
