I own two pittbulls and that kind of trait is not a good one. I would not keep a dog of any breed that continued to attack my other dog. You probably need to find him a new home without other dogs. I actually know someone that had two dogs jealous of the other and one day one of her dogs bit her because she was petting the other. I don't think it is a good idea to keep those two dogs together in the same home. That puppy shouldn't have to be attacked that many times for you to do something. Please make a change soon for the sake of your dogs. I'm sure the pitt doesn't like to be left outside either. God Bless and I hope all goes well with your decision.

I have a really hard time believing the dog though a CHILD was a chew toy. Dogs are incredible at reading humans. Better than any species studied- dolphins, chimps, whatever. A dog knows the difference between a human being and any other object- living or not. I agree that most pits don't kill that way, but we know nothing about this pit. Most dogs won't attack babies, either. Who knows what this dog was thinking, but in a legal sense, the dog was the proximate cause of the death. Lots of things can be said about the mother (and are being said), but the dog is the reason the child died. This is why the propaganda that "all dogs can be rehabilitated" and "there are no dangerous dogs, only negligent humans" are dangerous. Yes, the mother was negligent, but a dog fit for human society isn't going to kill an infant regardless of how negligent the owner. People can hardly be blamed for going to the shelter and adopting a pit mix of indeterminate origin and bringing it home to their household to live side by side with an infant. You see every show on animal planet praising the virtues of adopting, how pits just have a bad rap, how they can be a savior by rehabilitating the poor, sweet creatures. It's ridiculous. I don't have children, so I have feel comfortable taking a gamble with shelter dogs. When I have children, my dogs will be old and trained, and any new dogs will come from a breeder who I trust and respect.

Maybe your pit feels like a pack leader> If you become the leader of your pack they will start to feel equal to each other and your pit will have less to prove. Spend equal time with them and watch them closely. Dont let the little one bug your pit by jumping all over him, make the baby puppy respect the pit..if you use crates it would be good to face them towards each other so they can get to know each other in a safer way. make sure you make it clear to your pit that you are the boss and you will not allow him to react that way to the other dog.
Be proud to be the boss!! lol
Good luck

okay first off let me tell you ,you are playing with fire . I would never ever put a small dog around a pit to begin with . They are not trust worthy and you are putting your small dog in jeopardy. Please rehome the small dog cause you are going to end up losing the small dog as a result of a fight that these dogs may get into . see your puppy has almost died re-home it or it may die !! No will not be the same ever again. I am not being mean telling the truth here.

Pit bull dogs are breed to fight and kill. They are only doing what they are bred to do. I would suggest keeping the pit away from all animals also children. I have known of them attacting, maiming even killing groun ups.
Please be careful.I know ther are pets but they can be dangerous.

Sounds like your pit is going to enjoy a yorkie/pom mix doggie treat. NEVER mix a pit with a small dog. I love pits, but c`mon! Get real!

It is not likely they will ever get along together. Continue to keep them seperated or find a good home for one of them.
