My natural hair color...

Unless there's a strong light above my hair, it always appears very dark, people even say I have black hair. But I wouldn't go as far as saying it's JET BLACK.

When there's a strong light directly above me, and when you're close, you can see that the hair is more of a brownish color, maybe medium brown, but not light light light brown.

Does this sound like dark brown hair to you? Maybe black hair with a reddish tint? Dark auburn? Medium brown? Etc?

Thanks. I hope I was clear enough.

hi, its really weird with black hair because in natural light looking at a person it appears black, just plain black, but with all people you too have highlights so in weird light like wal-mart these will come out. my husband has black hair or what i would call black hair but sometimes in different light i can see varied hues of brown, what i refer to as hershey bars melting seriously thats what it looks like. anyway the black hair is fabulous and you do not see it very often when you think about it how many people do you run into in a day that has true black hair? it will have other highlights, but yes people will mostly look at you and say he has black hair.

your hair sounds like dark brown but your underlying pigment is red so usaly gives your ends a hint of red! that is how my hair is.
