Do you quote Paul? Have you allowed Paul to change Jesus' message? Why do you not quote Jesus, (in context)?

Can you go to Heaven if God has not forgiven you of your sins?

How do you get forgiven of your sins? Do you think confessing your sins gives you forgiveness from God?

Paul and the early church leaders said yes. Jesus said "No".

Are you teaching your children that their sins are forgiven by simply confessing them?

If yes, then you are in direct conflict with the words of Jesus.

Jesus taught that there was only one way for God to forgive your sins. If you don't know that way, how can you call yourself a Christian?

Clue: Saying "Lord, Lord" you are my savior" was specifically rejected by Jesus himself. Yet, most Christians quote Paul and then declare that saying "Jesus is my savior" means that they believe in Jesus. John 3:16 -- To believe in Jesus means that you believe his message.

Forgiveness is the big deal among many Christians; they want to be forgiven; yet they do not follow Jesus' specific requirement for God to forgive them.

Do you know Jesus' specific requirement?

Clue, it is not repentence (alone). Until you do a certain thing, you cannot even approach God to tell him you are sorry (repent) and plan to do better in the future.

The first christian mother church in history, was founded on Peter, the rash apostle, that would jump feet first into anything, without thinking first. (Lord, I will go with you anywhere, even unto death.) You will deny me three times.
The one that hung upside down on the cross unto death.
While the first material church might of used the words of all the saints in the new testament, the first material church is built on Peter, which has no foundations.
So I would say, that Peter robbed Paul's words, and everyone elses, and incorporated them into the church, and we all know the history. Seeing that the Catholic church has about a billion adherants, it is the greatest material church there ever was in history. It also has the most bloodiest history there ever was, all in the Lords Name, therefore, Gods Name, or Mary the Mothers Name. Blasphemy!

I don't worship Paul or the Christian God you speak of. I don't quote Paul. It's not me that allowed Jesus' messages to be changed, but the thousands of years of mis-translations of the Bible. I don't quote Jesus because I feel no need to - there are other, more profound statements that have been spoken by other spiritual figureheads more worthy of quoting. Everyone has the potential of evolving into the high spiritual realm that Christians call heaven. It takes many incarnations to do so. You forgive yourself of your sins, which begins by forgiving others of theirs. Confessing sins does not earn points as the great spiritual master is already aware of your transgressions, as you are, and the only way to progress from these is to learn from them and make a conscious effort at changing these ways. My child is learning to live a good and decent life in that so long as she "harms none," she may do as she wills. She knows right from wrong.

And finally - I don't call myself a Christian.

As a Christian Pastor I agree that there seems to be more emphsis put on the teachings of Paul than that of Jesus Christ.
Sad commentary in my opinion.

I thought that forgiveness is only part of it-repenting being the other part, and, the only way to the Father is through the Son.

Saul/Paul of Tarsus was a liar and a fraud by his own admission, and it is his word that Christianity is built on.

Go figure huh?
