computer to tv?

does anyone know the advantages of hooking up a computer to a tv and how do u go by of hooking it up

Advantage is size. thats about it. Resolution and sharpness often go down with size.

It all depends on your computer or video card.

Some have video outputs like the Yellow composite cable or even an S-video. Most laptops have an S-video.
Some better video cards have dvi and some even come with a dvi to component cable adapter. These are good for Hd TVs. Lastly some tvs have a vga computer connection. and that would just act like a monitor.
