A patrol car's video camera can prove to be a powerful training tool that allows the police to carefully review actual patrol stops, and subsequently help their officers to identify potential safety or procedural problems that may require modification or improvement. They also help in preparing evidence for court.
In regard to stun guns, I believe that many police agencies consider a stun gun as a welcomed alternative to the deadly force of a conventional gun.

Stun guns do not kill (except in very odd cases) help protect both the police and the person they are up against from being too hurt.I wouldn't want a billy club used on me- and there is a disatance factor too. Video on cop cars keeps a record of the crime- whether it be the stopped person, or in some cases the misuse of power by a police officer or force-it a visual record and can be used in court-both seem fairly obvious.....PS I've never been arrested, I used to cry in elementary school if I got called on talking in class---cops are there to protect ME- so is my BRAIN!
