You can add a rinse or cellophane that will make your hair look more healthy and vibrant. If you have Sally's beauty supply store in your area---you can choose a color from The Beautiful Browns or from the Jazzing collections--I like Jazzing better--very vibrant color and hair looks very healthy(be careful about getting the color on your scalp--it takes several rinses/shampoos to come off sometimes.
From Wal-Mart or similar stores, Garnier (be sure that any color you use is semi-permanent, a rinse, or just adding color--not lifting) offers colors that are conditioning. I wouldn't go for anything permanent as your hair is already damaged. Start to moisturize and condition(under a heated dryer or at least wearing a plastic cape for 15/30 minutes) on a weekly basis and as you stated before, minimize the heating tools that you are using on your hair, especially blow drying. When flat ironing, be sure to use polishing drops or something to coat the hair shaft===John Freida has a cheap, but nice product on Wmrt shelves. The last product is similar to the one you would need to use under a dryer with a plastic bag or just with a plastic bag to get hair healthy again.
Good Luck to you!!

I would say go for it, but you have to be sure you want to do the damage too your hair! You will need to be ready for the consequences! Umm. . . Although there is a alternitive option you can dye your hair but you should get shampoo that still keeps your hair hydrated so it doesnt get dry and all like fried! I hopes this helps. Becuz i dyed my hair b4 and my hair got all mest up but then i dyed it again and got sum shampoo and conditioner for dyed hair to keep my hair hyrdated and now i get compliments all the time!

If you are going darker you can use and 18 wash to see if you like it before you go permenant. Then if you dont like it it will be gone in 2 weeks!
Also to help damaged hair you can buy hair masks that are fantastic OR you can use normal conditioner and leave it in for an hour. It does the same job!

Dying damages hair easily, and as your hair is already damaged from using straightening irons. I would not advise it. It's best to ask a hairdresser who could give you a proper consultation about it.

You will damage your hair even worst. The best solution for damage hair is to keep trimming hair until you have your virgin hair. Light brown is beautiful and if you just want a change than purchase a wig or cut your hair drastically (from long to short).

Some hair dyes can make your hair more shinier and feel softer try a full head tint it will last approx 6 weeks which means if you hate it you don't have to wait months for it to grow out .

You should get a semi permanent dye (med brown) which will last about 24 washes it will give your hair a good shine and you should invest in a good conditioning treatment to get rid of the frizz.

It wouldn't turn out wrong if its damaged. But you should be proud of yourself for stopping as I know people whose hair has fallen out because of using straighteners every day... Go for it...

hi, from a professional point of view, i wood not recommend you to have a permanent colour, start of with a semi this will last you at least 8 to 12 shampoos, also it will replace last mostire. als this is a nice way to have an introduction to colour, or you could go for a semi-permanent this can last up to 18-24 shampoos, my only conseron is how dry your hair is, a,so if you have a pale completion you should not go to bark, as this can make you look ill. make sure you go to a well known salon as they can give a better consultation.
