u can install windows 98, but not xp as it requires minimum 128 mb ram. it is better if u upgrade to a 512 mb ram which is in accordance with your motherboard.

According to Microsoft's Website:
The minimum hardware requirements for Windows XP Home Edition are:
•Pentium 233-megahertz (MHz) processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended)
•At least 64 megabytes (MB) of RAM (128 MB is recommended)
•At least 1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available space on the hard disk
•CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive
•Keyboard and a Microsoft Mouse or some other compatible pointing device
•Video adapter and monitor with Super VGA (800 x 600)or higher resolution
•Sound card
•Speakers or headphones
It's the same for XP Professional. However, in my experience, 128 MB of RAM is barely enough to do anything, I don't even want to know how slow it is with 64 MB. You may be able to run the OS with 64 MB of RAM and a P3, but it's going to be really, really slow, and some applications may not be able to run with that amount of memory. You're going to start hitting your swap space pretty quickly on that amount of RAM, so performance will be a big issue.

Friend,
64 Mb RAM can support Win98 only. But don't get excited!!!
Other applications will never run smoothly. When I say other applications I mean the softwares available these days.
Todays softwares require a lot of RAM.
So in simple words, you can use Win98 for :-
1)internet purpose,
2)for printing texts documents only
3)for listening songs or watching vedio
4)playing low quality and outdated games
But I guarantee that you wont feel comfortable with that RAM.
So its better to upgrade to Dual core with 2 Gb RAM and enjoy with Windows Vista.
Just Kick away Win98!!!!

My Friend you need to up date your Ram or your going to run into trouble - most printer drivers require 128 MB Ram.
128 Mb Ram is the min i would run on - 64 MB ram means your computer will lock a lot.

i agree with most people GET SOME MORE RAM!! if u want to run xp u have to have at least 128 MB of ram your computer will RUN 2000 but that wont do you much good it'll be incredibly slow and might not run half of the stuff you want it to at the moment i wouldn't bother getting anything above 512 of ram but u might need the extra power if you want to run vista but u would have to have a complete over hall because that"ll need all new hardware but at the moment mate try 2 reach for at least 200 MB of ram

You should increase the memory to at least 128MB by simply adding another 64MB stick or buying one 128 Mb stick...actually 256 is better but for windows 98 almost anything will work. Windows XP says to have at least 128 but windows Vista needs 512 MB to allow use of all of its features.

First of all, GET MORE RAM!!!!! The amount you have is so little, people nowadays use like 1GB. (I use 256MB.) You processor is OK for any Windows operating system except for Vista. Vista can't even run on 64mb.
