I am 20 years old. 5'4 105-110 pounds...it goes up and down. I have to eat constantly and if I dont eat for a few hours I sometimes get really weak and time, angry/irritated, and my hands start to shake. Could it be a mediucal problem? If no how do they diagnose it and how is it treated?

yes this sounds like hypoglycemia, which can turn to diabetes also. Eat something every 4-5 hrs. I would get it check by a doctor too tho cause blood sugar problems can cause other health problems.

The symptoms you've described sound like hypoglycemia. I also experience them...when you feel shaky and irritated that means that your blood sugar levels have dropped and you need to eat something. Try to eat every few hours, so that your blood sugar levels are always stable and you won't experience those symptoms. However, I still think that you should see a doctor about this, get a blood test and other tests to be positive; it is your health, so it is worth getting some professional advice.

Yes, it is possible. Only a doctor could actually diagnose you, but you've figured out that if you start getting these symptoms it's time to eat.

Good luck, Brittany!

Sounds like it could be hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) or maybe not. Should go to the doctor. Contrary to previous answer hypoglycemia does not go on to become Diabetes.
