all other sound, including playing mp3's in windows is fine.How do i fix this?

If you click on the library tab & in the drop down menu select video I think you`ll find this will do the trick. To revert back to music repeat the operation

perhaps you have accidently pressed mute. Try sorting out your speakers..are they switched on and attatched correctly. i get this proplem quite often and its often due to very small things.
Try adjusting sound settings.
If this doesn't work, get your pc mended or something
