it probably has pneumonia, don't worry to much all it needs is a mild antibiotic, prescribed by a vet, just in case get your dog checked over.

My dog when I was 10 years old had the same problems, he was respiration heavily and coughing at age eleven and we too took him to the vet. Nothing used to be wrong with him ,it sounds as if it simply comes with age. My dog lived to the age of 16 which is particularly effective considering his large dimension.... So basically i don't think your dog is in any danger

well coughing can sometimes mean that they're sick!If they're coughing you might want to bring your dog to the vet!And keep him/her away from other animals you may have!Heavy breathing is normal it just means he's thirsty! So give him more water! And tiredness usually happens a lot to older dogs when dogs get older they tend to need more sleep!

I would get this dog tested for heartworm asap..in addition I would get additional bloodwork done as well as a complete vet exam. Don't wait.

It could be serious. It could be pneumonia, kennel cough, or a number of things. It needs a vet to be safe!
