Sure it is okay! I had my first love at 16 and I think it is very common. We were together for over a year and then went in different directions. Just be VERY careful about telling yourself, "This is the one!" "We are going to get married!" "I want to spend my life with ___" Maybe those things are true - but it is more likely that this won't last FOREVER. Enjoy it and have fun! Good luck...

I had my first time at 13 (almost 14) so I'd say yes, but the guy was older so remember that a 15 or 16 y/o guy your own age might not be mature enough for a relationship beyond something physical.

I'm going to share a small quote:
You need to be 16 to drive,
18 to buy cigarettes,
and 21 to drink alchohol.
Who ever said there was an age limit on love?

My theory is that love is blind to age (unless one of you is overage and the whole thing is illegal). If you both feel that you mutually are in love, that's great!
But don't do anything crazy yet, because you both still have a lot time to change as people. Being 16, you may not be as fully developed as an adult yet mentally.
Congratulations though.

I think it is okay. You may also find out one day that you don't consider that person your first (true love) at all. You are not to young to have those feelings . I hope you can keep a clear head and not get to wrapped up in this thing called love . You need to focus on school first . Stay friends as long as you can.
Take care!!!!!!!

That's the ideal age, for most. I fell in love for the first time when I was 16. We became engaged and I broke it off (regretfully) after my nearly fatal car accident. He moved on and married someone else. I'll never forget him though. Of all boyfriends I've had, none were ever as good to me as he was.

it is very ok to have your first love at 16. Afterall there is no age specification on when one could have his or her first love. Some even had their first love at age 12 or so.

dont let anyone tell you that you are too young. No one is too young for love and people are going to say you dont understand it completely. Yeah most people dont marry their high school sweethearts, but doesnt mean it wont be a learning expierance. Just realize this probaly wont last forever but have fun.
