Regarding the safety of having blood exams every 3 months, the answer is yes. Will you be anemic?, the answer is no. You do not have to take a cholesterol exam every 3 months. Your cholesterol levels will not go down that fast. At the most, every 6 months will do. Aside from you medication, It would also help if you diet (loose weight if you are overweight) or eat a well balanced diet with lots of veggies and exercise.

If a doctor does tests every three months there is a reason for it. It could be just to test cholesterol levels...but it could also be to test your liver if you are on meds that can cause damage to your liver. Many of the prescriptions on the market today are known to cause liver damage...among other things. The small amount of blood they draw for testing isn't enough to make you anemic. People donate blood more often that that and they give a pint every time when they do. If you are worried about it just be sure to drink plenty of fluids and take a multivitamin with iron.

Don't worry. The small amount of blood that they take to do the cholesterol test can't possibly make you anemic. In fact, people donate a pint of blood every 3 months without problem. You won't be giving even a tablespoon full.

Would a physician really order a test to be a causation of anemia ? I seriously doubt it. The test every three (3) months is not only to monitor your cholesterol. More important is the amount of Lipicort (as spelled in your question) in your blood. I have had a blood test every three (3) months for the past 17 years to monitor the level of seizure medication in the blood.
I'm not anemic doubt you are in one year. Any doubts ask your doctor.

Assuming you are healthy otherwise and eat that way, drawing blood to check for many things is done on a regular basis and can safely be done monthly so while the change for cholesterol would not be noticable so frequently, yes it is safe. To the question of anaemic - I have always been borderline - eating dark green vegetables is better than all the pills they could give you because your body was made to eat them. The truth is it should not be a concern because if you give your body the building blocks it needs, it does its thing keeping us healthy.

The amount of blood they take from you for blood tests is very small and safe. Doubtful that you will become anemic. Think about the people who give blood (1 pint at a time) to the Red Cross every 56 days and do not have any problems.

They have to check your blood often to check on the cholesterol, and to be sure that the cholesterol medication is not harming your liver or muscles.
Many people have to take blood test far more often that 3 months apart, and I've never heard of one becoming anemic. They do not take that much blood--some people who donate blood do so more often, and more blood is taken.

No, iatrogenic anemia is a result of multiple testing in a hospital setting. Your body will replace the small amount of blood taken for testing within two weeks of being drawn. The sources listed discuss iatrogenc(anemia caused by testing) and blood replacement.

They say if you lose weight both your BP and cholesterol will drop. Why not try that route instead of the medication and testing? Also, the more you drink the harder your heart has to pump and the higher your BP will go, so slow down on the drinking (water, coffee, alcohol, soft drinks). Soft drinks will make a person heavy in a short period of time and then the sugar they make is very hard to get rid of. So stop those, and stop all caffeine. Drink only water, and your BP will begin to go down.
