The term for this is "tied". Male dogs have a knot at they base of their penis that swells during intercourse. Basically the male cannot remove his penis from the female until the knot is no longer swollen. It is a way of keeping other male dogs away from the female and better insuring that that particular male's sperm is the sperm that impregnates the female.
Unless your female has some kind of physical defect that effects her ability to become pregnant - you can guarentee she's preganant. Take her to the vet and get her fixed immediately. If you wait too long, the procedure is more difficult and the vet charges you more.

This called the "Reverse" position, as with people they can not get pregnant. Joke!!!
When they in this position the job is finished, the male dismounted and remains stuck until everything goes down. IF, the female was in heat, odds are the male did his job.

It is called a tie, and she is likely pregnant. If you do not know the basics, maybe you shouldn't be breeding. If it wasn't on purpose, get the bit ch spayed if you cannot be responsible.
You can get a mismate shot from your Vet if it is within a day or two. Better yet, have her spayed, soon.

This is common for dogs. It's not necessarily a sign that she's pregnant, but it may be likely...By the way, dogs are different in that a litter of pups can have more than one daddy...
